The design of the shoes from the 80´s, as like as the exclusiveness of the actual SMUs/limited editions, in particular the sneakers from Japan.

What does “Made in England/USA” mean to you?

A very good quality, which is handmade and what reminds me of the beginning of New Balance.

Do you have a favourite model (NB-model)?

My absolute favourite modell is the original New Balance 1300 from 1984.

What do you think about the >Global SMU< story?
Was hälst du von der >Global SMU< Geschichte?

The Idea with the Global-SMU is a good thing but in my opinion the circulation of the SMU models is too high in contrast to the ST33-sneakers and so they loose a little bit of attractiveness or exclusiveness.

Die Idee mit dem Globel-SMU ist an sich eine gute Sache, jedoch finde ich die Auflagenhöhe der SMU-Modelle im Gegensatz zu denST33-Sneakern zu hoch und verlieren dadurch für mich etwas an Attraktivität, bzw. Exclusivität.

Our philosophy is: “Not to be the biggest, but to be the best”. What do you think about it?
Unsere Philosophie lautet: “Not to be the biggest, but to be the best”. Was hälst du davon?

If you can keep that philosophie, you don’t have to worry about the exclusiveness of the NB sneakers, because the company New Balance will never be such a snobbish marketing-project, like for example the company Nike.

Wenn diese Philosophie so beibehalten wird, braucht man sich um die Exclusivität der NB-Sneaker keine Sorgen zu machen, denn dann wird das Unternehmen New Balance auch nicht so ein aufgeblasenes Marketing-Projekt wird, wie z.B. die Firma Nike.
