New Balance Presents: Germany’s Hottest Sneaker Blogs

Our team got together to cast an eye on Germany’s sneaker scene and especially the blogs, which are writing about it. The result is a very long list of editors, bloggers and contributors, who are sharing their love for shoes and soles more times daily with the rest of the world. We are proud to introduce you to “Germany’s Hottest Sneaker Blogs” and a whole bunch of new bookmarks you should add to your browser. Enjoy!

Sneakerized:

Sneakerized.com was originally founded in 2007 and consists of Oliver, Mischa, Sven, bOb aka. “SneakerbOb”, Max Powers and Felix aka. “Mr. Pander”. It is one of the biggest German spoken online magazines providing the latest news from the world’s sneaker culture and its background, such as music, sneaker ads and events. The ‘Storefinder’ let’s you search for stores, brands and cities. And you definitely have to check out the Sneakerized Movie, which explains you the word and its meaning in an extraordinary and funny way.

SNKRS:

SNKRS.de is another big online magazine for sneaker culture and it’s not hard to see that it was established in 2010. It is part of the Goertz Media network, which was founded by Chris Goertz who is also publisher and editor in chief of SNKRS. Describing the shoes with every single detail and often with a direct link to the retailer, SNKRS is a definitive must for everybody.

SneakU:

SneakU Mag is actually a print magazine which gets published quarterly and provides content for every thinkable reader. From interviews with designer and artists, detailed sneaker news and informative features to an active involvement of customers. The special about SneakU is, that you can also download a free pdf-version of every issue online. But remember that the unique paper smell is not inclusive.

I Love Sneakers:

I-Love-Sneakers.com keeps it simple with its daily blog. The reader doesn’t just receive news about products, releases and clothing more times a day. He also can filter the news by his favourite brand and model. I Love Sneakers offers also a selected list of importand sneaker stores in and around Germany. And don’t hesitate to use the newsletter.

Sneakergirls:

SneakergirlsBlog.de is something we’re very proud of and glad we could find. We would like to see more of this and have to thank Liz, Sue and Annika for sharing their experiences with us and for representing rare, female sneakernerds to the fullest.

Sneakers:

Last but not least we would like to introduce you to Sneakers-Magazine.com. Sneakers Mag is also a print magazine which gets published four times a year. But they also have a nice online blog with regular short news, features and competitions. A special point is that there are four brand which use Sneakers Mag to stay in contact with their customers by hosting a blog: Kangaroos, Feiyue, C1rca and Creative Recreation. The ‘Shopfinder’ is perfect to find a sneaker retailer in the area around your town. It seems like you can hang out for hours on their page. Check it out!

“a very long list of editors, bloggers and contributors” looks different to me, or am I just not seeing the rest? 6 Blogs of which at least half are from magazines for sneaker culture….
    C`mon guys, start digging!
Could have at least linked “SneakerbOb” and “Mr. Pander” if you already mention them.

I know what you mean. But as you can see it is “Part 1″, which means that there are more parts coming. And we didn’t want to put the entire Sneakerized crew in this part, that’s why we want to mention SneakerbOb and Mr. Pander in Part 2…

sorry, but sneaker culture is on the streets and not in the blogs.
they just talk about it while the real guys live it.

there´s just a very few blogs/sites worth mentioning in this context, which I´m 99% sure will be overlooked.

That’s definitely true, no question. Streets are the place, where trends are born. But you need the blogs to share current (local) trends with the rest of the world. I have a long list of more blogs which will be featured within the next week. But if you think you know a blog which is worth to mention, don’t hesitate to send me an email: lifestyle(at)newbalance.de But please keep in mind that we just want to feature German-spoken blogs.
