Die australische Band Gold Fields hat sich für ein Musikvideo New Balance und keinen Geringeren als Photograph und Künstler 13th Witness geschnappt. Bevor die finale Version ab dem 9. Februar zu sehen ist, gibt es anbei in einem kleinen “Behind the Scenes” Mitschnitt einen guten Vorgeschmack zum Musikvideo wie auch zur kommenden Single ‘Holy No’.

3th Witness took his first trip to Australia to work on the New Balance x Gold Fields project which saw multiple creative processes unfold over a couple of perfect days of sunshine in Ballarat and Melbourne. The end result was the creation of a music video for the Gold Field’s song Holy No and an accompanying, behind-the-scenes documentary which also doubles as a video look-book for New Balance’s lifestyle heritage range, married in most scenes with clothing from Sydney label Vanishing Elephant. This look-book depicts just a small slice of the creative process that went into this project.

Im Rahmen der kürzlich veröffentlichten Webseite VisitFlimby.com hat New Balance die Türen zum hauseigenen Archiv geöffnet – genannt: “The Vault”. In einem 3-minütigen Video gibt Chris Hodgson einen exklusiven Einblick in die Sammlung aller Tier 1 Kollaborationen, die sich stolz mit “made in Europe, and only in Europe” schmücken dürfen.

Within it’s brand-new website VisitFlimby.com New Balance has presented an archive with every England made collaboration called “The Vault”. NB’s very own Chris Hodgson gives an insight into materials, manufacturing, development and sourcing. Check out the 3-minute-video and get an insight into the happenings in Flimby, England.

Was New Balance und Detroit’s Sneaker Boutique Burn Rubber gemeinsam auf die Beine stellen können, haben wir bereits in der Vergangenheit gesehen. Nun wird die gute Zusammenarbeit mit zwei weiteren Versionen des MT580 ergänzt. Das “Workforce” Package besteht aus “Blue Collar” (schwarz-orange) und “White Collar” (schwarz-gelb). Während “Blue Collar” bereits am 15. Februar veröffentlicht wird, ist das Release Date des “White Collar” erst für den 15. März vorgesehen. Zu erhalten gibt es beide Colorways bei Wood Wood in Berlin.

New Balance teamed up once more with Detroit’s very own sneaker boutique Burn Rubber to create two more versions of the iconic MT580 model, which finds a huge fan group overseas in Japan. The “Workforce” package consists of two colorways called “Blue Collar” (black-orange) and “White Collar” (black-yellow). “Blue Collar” is set to drop on February, 15st whilst “White Collar” will be released on March, 15st through selected retailers such as Wood Wood in Berlin.

SneakerFreaker hat mal in die Runde gefragt um nachzuhorchen was die besten Sneaker des vergangenen Jahres 2011 waren. Einer der wohl interessantesten Antworten kam aus Tokyo, von Fragment Design’s Kazuki: “Selbst wenn die Sneaker nur grau sind, gibt es so viele verschiedene Variationen und Abstufungen, dass man immer begeistert ist. Das ist wohl einer der besten Gründe für meine Wahl.” Zum kompletten Feature geht es hier.

Vielleicht plant der ein oder andere ja Mitte Dezember eine Reise in die USA. In einem solchen Glücksfall sollte man am 15.12. mal den Nice Kicks Store in Austin, Texas, besuchen. Ab 22 Uhr findet dort nämlich eine exklusive Launch Party statt. Zu feiern gibt es dann die Kollabo zwischen Nice Kicks und New Balance. Das Ergebnis lässt sich sehen und kommt mit Gumsole, Encap Dämpfung, schickem Navy/Pink Suede Upper und einem extra Paar Schnürsenkel. Zu erhalten gibt es den Winterschuh evtl. auch pünktlich zum Schneefall am 10. Dezember bei Stickabush in Berlin.
