UK sneaker retailer Size? have collaborated with New Balance, as part of a series of upcoming collaborations in celebration of their 10-year anniversary,  to produce the “Estates” pack. This premium shoes feature the finest British materials including waxed cotton, quilted nylon, felt and some gum soles. The Estasters Pack is made in England and is available in two colourways.

Both pairs featuring a family crest which combines the Size? signature question mark and the numerals DLXXVII which represents the 577 model, the year Size? first opened and the phrase “Shoes Maketh The Man”. The shoes will be available from Size? along with select stores worldwide.

The next >Global SMU< from New Balance: The 3 Sneakersnstuff  “RGB Pack” have a great design and colourway. For that reason these sneakers are badly awaited in Germany by now. New Balance introduces the 574 Clips Collection: This special collection was constructed from leftover materials salvaged from the New Balance’s Lawrence, MA factory. Made in the US and paying tribute to this domestic manufacturing, “USA” is stiched on the heel and tongue of every shoe. The 574 has been re-engineered to be more comfortable, slimmer and more flat in shape.

This collection is presented with an innovative marketing campaign to support the launch of the 574. 574Clips.com features 480 short videos of each shoe was made. To compliment the 480 short films, a Polaroid photo of the shoe’s experience is placed in the adequate shoe box. On the back of each Polaroid you’ll find the shoe’s limited edition number (like: 089/480), size and color. After you’ve got your shoe you can then visit the 574 Clips website and search for the exclusive video, which was created specifically for your shoe.

Each of these 4 colourway is limited to 120 pairs and will be available in September 2009.  The 574 Clips will retail at $75.00 at ten top U.S. retailers: Reed Space in NYC, Shoe Gallery in Miami, Bodega in Boston, Commonwealth in DC, Premium Goods in Houston, St. Alfreds in Chicago, Burn Rubber in Royal Oak, Sole Boutique in San Antonio, Goods in Seattle, and Undefeated in LA.

Concepts, a sneaker store in Boston, takes part in the Global SMU programm and designed this two pack sneaker series. Besides the all known 1500 modell, concepts choose a brand new model (the boot x running 875) for their plans of design.

Both have a high-quality leather upper with pig leather lining for increased breathability and comfort. This is a must have for he upcoming autumn. A genuine and nice colourway perfects this two pairs of shoes.

Mad Hectic, Mita and New Balance came together once more for a new collaboration. The iconic running shoe, a 580 model, comes in a fresh colourway with love for the details: The upper material fades from light blue to navy blue, the mid-sole is speckled, the two pair of laces are rounding the look of the colours and the “Go! Hectic” flag on the laces is a real eye-catcher.

This sneaker is due to release on September 12th.

On this Saturday, Solebox released the two SMUs, we already reported about. As always when a special release impends, a lot of sneaker-nerds spend the night in front of the Solebox store to be one of the first to get a pair. We have some first impressions of the release for you:

After the first “Pigeon” was created by Jeff Staple, he has now designed his second “Pigeon” for New Balance. The “White Pigeon” is a >Global SMU< and is going to be released at the 18.08.09. This shoe will be available at selected sneaker stores worldwide.In Germany you can get the “White Pigeon” at >Solebox< in Berlin or at >Thomas i punkt< in Hamburg. As you know that the sneakers of the SMU project are always strictly limited, you better be there at the release to be sure to get a pair.

Jeff Staple’s statement about the pigeons:

“I am very very excited and happy to be releasing another NB575 with the New Balance Team. Most of our fans and fans of the global sneaker culture are familiar with our Pigeon motif. I am proud to launch a new evolution of the Pigeon with New Balance on Aug 18th. As many people who live in cities know, the pigeon does not only have look and color. While most of them are grey, we decided to use this motif as our main color inspiration for everything from caps, to hats, to cameras, to socks. But have you seen an albino pigeon? It is a pigeon where the feathers are almost all white and only some hints of black or light grey. The feet and eyes are still the same pigeon pink color though. This even rarer pigeon is the inspiration for our new NB575 Shiro Pigeon. The “White Pigeon”. I love the final execution of it and I think it’s the perfect shoe for the summer time. The overall design is similar to the original 575 Pigeon but with new colors, some added reflective elements, and a new tongue label that hints at the inspiration. I am also happy to say we have increased production of the “White Pigeon” to approximately 1000 pairs for the entire planet. (About double what we did compared to the original NB Pigeon.) Berlins Overkill Store wird uns bald mit seinem allerersten New Balance SMU beglücken. Nicht dass es einfach irgendein SMU wäre, nein – die Jungs aus Berlin haben sich für ihren ersten NB wirklich ins Zeug gelegt und gleich 3 Colourways entworfen.
